Winter spectacle in Ischgl: Season opening with global superstar Rita Ora and perfect snow conditions

Ischgl officially opened the 2025/26 winter season with a spectacular season opener and an atmospheric concert by internationally acclaimed pop icon Rita Ora. The first day of skiing on 27 November already presented perfect conditions: a snow-covered winter landscape straight out of a picture book and perfectly groomed slopes provided ideal conditions for the first turns of the season.

On Saturday evening, the car park of the Silvretta cable car was transformed into a glittering open-air stage: the legendary "Top of the Mountain Opening Concert" with British singer, songwriter and actress Rita Ora attracted thousands of visitors to Ischgl.

At 6 p.m., Rita Ora took to the Ischgl stage – accompanied by her live band and an energetic dance crew. The British superstar delivered a show that more than lived up to the high standards of the Ischgl season opener. The singer presented a mix of her international chart hits and current songs, filling the night-time mountain backdrop with impressive energy, strong stage presence and powerful vocals. With hits such as Your Song, Anywhere and the crowning finale Let You Love Me, she had the audience singing and dancing along. The dynamic performance, visual staging and dance choreography made the concert a highlight that impressively marked the start of the new winter season. Rita Ora thus joins the list of world stars who have made Ischgl the "pioneer of music acts in the Alps".

Even before the concert began, DJ Tiffany Seguí set the perfect mood. After Rita Ora's performance, she kept the energetic atmosphere going and transformed the concert area into an open-air winter dance party.

With fantastic slope conditions and a musical highlight in a class of its own, Ischgl has made a particularly impressive start to the winter season. The combination of impressive, snow-rich winter sports conditions and international entertainment once again underlines the resort's reputation for creating special moments in a unique alpine setting.

Several new features await visitors to Ischgl at the start of the season: the two new 8-seater D-Line chairlifts, Höllbodenbahn C1 and Sassgalunbahn C3, increase comfort with seat heating, weather protection hoods and the AURO system, and set an example in terms of environmental awareness with photovoltaics and the sustainable reuse of the old facilities.

Another new feature is the connection to the Ikon Pass network, which offers access to over 60 international ski resorts. In addition, the Ischgl Trophy (11 to 14 December 2025) is celebrating its premiere – an exclusive tennis event with stars such as Dominic Thiem and Tommy Haas.
